Mr Matthew Gibson (MRes, BSc (Hons), CPsychol) is an Assistant Lecturer in Psychology in the Psychology, Sociology and Education Division. He is also an Affiliate member of Centre for Applied Social Science.

Having completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at 性视界传媒, Matthew joined the division as a Lecturer in January 2016 on a fixed term basis which concluded in summer 2018. His undergraduate dissertation was conducted in the area of experimental forensic psychology and his Master in Research degree (MRes), investigating the irrelevant sound effect, was completed in September of 2016. After completing his Masters degree, Matthew was the Psychology Technician within the Division, and became an Assistant Lecturer in Psychology in the autumn of 2020.听听听听

At present I am primarily interested in the study of emotions, with a particular interest in the emotion of awe.听
